1. Joel got a new job!! YAY! Most of you know that Joel worked for Firestone, which he LOVED. The only setback was that he worked every Saturday and at least 2 Sundays a month. This made it hard for us to spend any time together as a couple. On the other hand, we were just happy he had a job in this awful economy. One day, he was so tired and worn out, he decided it was time for a change. He sent out about 50 resumes and never received a phone call/email from anyone. After six months of praying, asking God to show him what path to take, Joel got a call from Jamieson Fence Distributing. It is a great company with wonderful people and values. He is in training to be a manager and best of all the hours are M-F 7:30- 4:30. He gets home before me, which I still don't find fair! haha I thank God everyday for allowing us to both have great jobs that we enjoy!
2. Wedding Season: We were also very busy with weddings and showers in July. Joel was in a dear friend's wedding- Josh McBride. The wedding was in Memphis the same weekend that Becca and Conner got married, so I was not able to go. Joel had a GREAT time with all of his high school buddies. He claims the wedding was the best catering and band he has ever eaten/heard. So sad I missed it. Joel managed to take ZERO pictures... I know, I know he is all male. Here is a picture I stole from Facebook-
Meanwhile, I was celebrating with the Gunn's. Becca looked GORGEOUS, and had an awesome reception. I had 3 girlfriends staying with me for the weekend, so there was tons of laughter and stomach pains. Here are some pictures of the awesome time:

3. Weekends at the Lake- Now that Joel is able to enjoy his Saturdays, he is always itching to go to Eagle Lake. He loves that place so much. When we get there, I feel like we don't speak until we CRAWL into bed, he goes NONSTOP!! Last weekend we picked up our nephews in Vicksburg and took them with us. Ayden, the youngest had never been on a Jet Ski or been tubing, so we knew they would have a blast.
My sweet parents soaking up the sun!
Until Next Time,
