Babbling Brooke

I have to show off my creation... A girl at work is having a baby and we threw her a little shower at work.  I decided to make cookies after being inspired by the COOKIE MAMA. This woman is Ah-Mazing!  She uploads new pictures all the time, so be sure to check back.  Everyone knows I am the least creative person ever, but hey I can by a copy cat, right?
After many grueling hours and making 44 cookies... this was the result.

The "B" was for Bailey, which will be her name.

 Aggrivating Funny story... I got straight home from work to ice the cookies(I made them the night before). I did not eat or change out of my work clothes, not really sure why, but I knew I did not have time to waste.  So about 40 cookies down, 4 to go and 11:15 (keep in mind my bedtime is 9:30) Joel my LOVING husband comes in the kitchen and says "Wow, Brooke....these look really good... what is the BOY's name?" You can imagine the look on my icing covered face!! I thought I was going to cry.

So then we went through 10 minutes of the following:

Me: Wait you think these look like boy cookies????????????????????????

Joel: Well, yeah they are GREEN and they have big "B's" on them, gheez

Me: Um, AND FREAKING FREAKING PINK AND PURPLE

Joel: Yeah you are right, they do look like baby girl cookies

Me: Are you sure?

Joel: Yes, sure

Me: Positive

Joel: Oh gosh, here we go!

Me: Well do you think the people at work will think they are for a boy?

Joel:  No Brooke

Me: Well if you did, then they probably will too

Joel: You need to put the icing down and go to bed

I LOVE baking, and have always dreamed of having a "Cambells Bakery". If you have never been to this place in Jackson, you are REALLY missing out.  They have the best ccokies, lemon squares, muffins, etc.  However, after the night I had on Tuesday...I just may have changed my mind. I thought the cookie mama was CRAZY for charging $1.50 a cookie, but now I completely understand.

On another note, we are headed to Starkville in the a.m. for Kristen and Kyle's big day.  I am soooo excited. I will be sure to take lots of pictures to post. See you on the other side!
