We had an AMAZING time in Jacksonville. We arrived at the airport and went to get our rental car. Since it was just the two of us, we paid for an "economy car" which should have been something like this:
Instead the lady said, "I like y'all... You want a Camero??" We of course said saaa-weeeeet!. It was fun to be a little "sporty" for a few days! haha
For New Years Eve we went to the Dawg Pound Party. We saw soooo many friends we had not seen in a while. It was good to hang out with everyone, since it was hard to see them on gameday. Who doesn't want to ring in the new year with over 1,000 other bulldogs??

Then it was here: GAMEDAY!!! Joel could barely sleep, and woke up bright and early, ready to go. The atmosphere at the game was like nothing I have ever experienced. The stands were covered in Maroon, and the cowbells were extremely loud. We ended up winning 52-14. Joel was pulling for State, but was wanting his "other" team to have a good game as well. In the fourth quarter he looked over with a pout and said "Man, I just feel bad for Michigan." I had none of the feelings he was having, I was feeling GREAT to be beating the WINNINGEST TEAM IN THE NATION!!! Saturday night we went to The Landing to eat and go to the bars. We heard cowbells ringing for about 15 hours straight and it was a wonderful sound!
He actually wore a "Beat Michigan" sticker...now THAT is True Maroon!
Here is a video of Joel that I just LOVE...
We stayed an extra day, and had a day full of sleep and shopping on Sunday. Who was worn out this week? THIS girl!!! It was ALL worth it...a weekend I will never forget!
